I will teach students the language of music in a positive and enthusiastic environment. My goal is to empower each student and to influence their music education with input based on their interests and long term goals. I will tailor the curriculum to match each student’s specific learning needs.

Students agree to arrive at each lesson punctually, well-prepared, and with their assignment books and music.
To make good progress, regular quality practice is necessary. Please ask questions about home assignments so the student and parents can completely understand the assignments and goals. Students should set up a daily practice time to build up a good habit. Students will log their practice hours in their assignment book, or online in the MMS portal.
Parents are responsible for scheduling their child’s practice hours and are highly encouraged to check with the teacher for ways to aid their student’s practice hours. Parental involvement will greatly encourage student success.
Students must keep cellphones off and out of sight during lessons.
Student’s nails should be kept neat and trimmed. No large, fake nails are allowed at lessons.
Parents may wait in the waiting area during student lessons; parents are responsible for their own children. The student’s siblings may not be left unattended.
Parents: If something is happening at home or school that is affecting your child, please let me know. The more information I have, the more I can be sensitive to the needs of your child.

I will provide their lesson books and the charge for the materials will be added to their monthly invoice. Extra books will be ordered by the family. Students should expect to buy an average of $60 of books annually including their lesson books.
Students will need a notebook for assignments and logging practice. If preferred, their notes can be taken online through the MMS portal.
Students must have their own instrument to practice at home. If you have questions or would like input on the purchase of an instrument, please contact me. I am happy to set appointments to meet the student and their family for instrument trials.
